Local charity Support Staffordshire who provide free support for over 1,000 charities, non-profit and voluntary organisations in our county, has recently launched a brand new and exclusive Business Club which will help to raise vital funds to enable them to provide even more support to Staffordshire’s community. The organisation under-pin the voluntary sector in Staffordshire, supporting local charities and voluntary groups with operational matters, raising millions of pounds of funding each year, and putting structures in place to ensure their members can operate sustainably to make their offering and services the best they can be.
Support Staffordshire trustee and C Brandauer & Co MD Rowan Crozier along with his wife Zoe have decided to complete the Thames Bridges walk (25kms) AND run the Stafford Half marathon (13 miles) this September in support off Support Staffordshire but Why…..? Rowan tells us "As a trustee of Support Staffordshire I am proud of our organisation; a charity that exists solely to support other charities. We have over 1,000 not for profit members in Staffordshire who all rely on our, people, skills, care and advice.
We are delighted to have been able to provide vital support to so many charities during the pandemic. Helping Angels Charitable Association are a friendly, high quality, personal assistant service who work with local people with physical, cognitive or age-related conditions who need support with daily tasks, domestic routines, and support them with building social relationships and participating fully within the community. Like many charities Helping Angels were really struggling financially during lockdown. They almost gave up and considered closing the charity altogether, but they were doing so much to support local people, this would have been devastating.
Many people throughout their life donate to a charity that has a special meaning to them. However very few consider leaving them a gift after they have died. A legacy (financial gift) to a charity is your way of showing your support to that cause after your death. This is a vital source of income for the charity so that they can continue the work that was important to you during your life. Indeed, without the gifts left in Wills many charities wouldn’t even exist.
member bursary! This will mean that a local charity will receive an extra 10 hours support from Support Staffordshire this year which will empower them to be the best they can be and enrich our community.
